So, I got my first foray into Tempest Keep last night. The Wraith is starting to attempt Void Reaver and they needed more people than they had so a few members of Madoran's Fist got the call. Andostre, Khiva, Newshiryu and Erendis all got to go.
Problem came when The Wraith couldn't get enough to fill out the raid even with the MF members. So, we cleared trash with 22 people and then went and did Gruul's.
Of course the big reason we filled out Gruuls was that we invited more Fisters. 8 of the 25 people in the raid were MF. That is only about half of the people from MF that I feel are geared/experienced enough for Gruuls. Which shows that just because a guild is bigger than we are doesn't mean they have more active raiders. Which I think is a VERY good thing when looking at our raiding future. We have a very high percentage of people that both want to raid and are good at it.
I love my guild!

Little random story. After Kara on wednesday Sardonis and I (on Karura) decided to try and run the daily Heroic. We got into a group finally and after getting a new healer after the first "left for Gruul's" we started. It me pally tanking, Sardonis (rogue) a warlock and Enhancement Shammy and a resto Druid. We wiped a few times but it wasn't really anyone's fault and everyone was pretty cool with it.
We finally get to the last boss. We talk to Naturalist Bite and start fighting the naga that come. At some point Sardonis gets Mind Controlled and decides to kill bite. While I was tanking I tried to figure out why I heard a male night elf death sound when the only male nelf was Sardonis. Needless to sat Hungerfen was a bit harder than usual. ><
26 badges. 49 to go for my new tanking chest. :)

Well, Kara is in effect on farm status for Madoran's Fist. We went on our normal night with a sub-optimal group mix and pulled all the way to shade in one night. We also started and hour late. If we moved up the start time and actualy get the time between invites and first pull we could very well do Kara in one night. One night Kara run would give more time for new content which i believe we (as a guild) need to continue raiding together.
Which makes me think that every guild needs goals. At the moment I know our general goal of having fun together with friends while raiding and instancing. But what are our specific goals? My personal goal is to see as much raid content as possible. I doubt i'll ever go to BT pre-WotLK but I'd like to work towards it. I want to do this with my guild. We have some very good players that know their classes and theory very well. There is no reason we can't continue raiding together for as long as Blizzard keeps making content. :)

Adventures in Tanking
So, been on the instance grind with Karura. Been gearing up nicely and managed to get revered with KoT as well. Got my Continuum Blade and finally got the gear to get up past 490 defense. I just need the money to get my bird and then its off to Arcatraz for the third key and then back to BM for attunement. Its been alot of fun to tank the 70 instances i've been in so far. Its a completly different game than "pew pew" with my hunter.
The other fun aspect of tanking is that people expect you to lead. This can be alot of pressure but its also fun to think that your direction and leadership allowed your team (group) to complete the instance. I'm sure the people would do just fine without direction but keeping everyone focused and working together makes the difference between a 40 min and a 90 min SV run.
In Erendis news getting excited by the fact we have Kara on almost farm status. It will be nice to move out of there and into bigger instances. I think the next few weeks will be a key time for the guild to determine what direction we want to take. Change is fun!

Let the grind begin...
In amazing news Karura has hit 70. That means my alt is at the level cap. Makes me kinda sad. How many hours have I sunk into this game and how many will I? I know the answer that question (/played) but still...
Anyways, I've had pretty good runs with Biguurootnja (the best shadow priest healer ever, lol) looking for the Felsteel recipe out of Auch Crypts. I haven't gotten any drops but i'm getting a ton of rep and a pretty decent amout of gold. Also trying to get Biguurootnja up to 70 so we can get our 70 instance on.
So, I've got most of my gear upgrades planned out and hopefully in 2-3 weeks I'll be attuned and geared enough to run the early Kara bosses. We'll see how that goes.

Karazhan Cleared
So, Madoran's Fist has officially cleared Kara. I mean all of it. Netherspite fell to us and now that big ole tower is empty. It is pretty exciting but in a way sad. This was the first raid instance I ahve been too since I hit level cap post BC. I never saw the old raids so I think Kara will always have a special place in my heart even after I no longer raid it.
In other news I have hit 68 on Karura. Thinking of starting to grind BGs for honor for the season one gear. At the very least for a shield and the gavel. I think I can pick up other pre-raid gear in instances without the danger of going insane from endless honor grinding. ><

Ok, this is a Karura post.
Having decided to try and instance grind to 70 as much as possible to save quests for gold I have been in the habit of ALWAYS being the LFG. I don't care what I run as long as I get EXP. Anyways, I was in the LFG for BF, SP and UB. I get an invite to tank BF. I think: "Ok easy hour run tops."
I get in and the group insists on using CC. Ok, so it might take a little while. The mage insists on pulling with sheep. At this point I am irritated and tell the mage to let me pull. The mage ignores me. The party leader (who would not let me mark) backs up the mage saying its better to let the mage sheep first so I don't break CC. At this point I know these people are idiots. Next pull after that I say "I'm going to pull this warlock WAY back" I hit it with a JoR and start running back. The mage hits it with a fireball. I reply with a "WTF?" The mage then says "Here tank the whole room" runs into the middle of another group and frost novas them.
At this point (I had already said if the mage pulls ONE more time i'm leaving) I hit Divine Shield start casting my hearth say "later guys" and left party. needless to say I get 20 minutes of tells full of profanity.
My question: Was I wrong to do that?
